Hey All,

Well today is my last day in Sendai. Went to the Sendai Mediatheque instead of Matsushima as the weather was crummy again but no icey wind today so that was a plus.
This place had a library and two gallery floors in it. One of the galleries was nice, pictures of scenery and some paintings. The other floor was poetry I guess, all written in Japanese so kinda missed the point but there was also a little section on birth or lifecycle or something, japanese only information so not entirely sure but nice anyhow. Apparently this building won an architectural award in 2002 as it doesn't have any pillars, guessing that would be better translated as upright support beams, very stlish. The elevators had all their circuit boards exposed which I thought was cool. Tried to get a decent pic for Kate but its on Jozenji-dori which is lined with trees so was kind of obscured. There shoud be more pics in the slideshow now of Tokyo and Nikko but I seem to have lost some of them. I have half a dozen memory cards here from three devices so there in here somewhere just gotta find them.
Went to the travel agency today and got fantastic assitance on my journey to Goshogawara which is north west of Aomori. I am staying there as the accomidation is cheaper and its only about 30mins out from Aomori by train so its a good compromise.
The lady at the travel agency was awesome, got me the times for all three trains and even reserved a seat for me on each of them which I think I should have paid for but I'll take what I can get for free without complaints. : >
Thats it for now. Unless I find the photos tonight after dinner my next post will be from Goshogawara.
Bye
